Learn to Forgive...OvernightNov 30, 2020
Have you ever struggled with releasing forgiveness?
Forgiveness is a way of life, but sometimes it's not always easy to heal the heart where people have caused deep hurt and pain. I remember a time where it took me 4 months of intentionally working on forgiving and renewing my mind towards someone who hurt me deeply. It triggered so much within me that I read every scripture I could find on the topic, got a book on it, and journaled regularly in my quiet time to uproot this dark pain. Thankfully, at the end of that season, my heart was able to heal.
Then, a smaller degree of offense began to nestle into my heart. In December 2019, I went to bed after having an argument with my husband that left me feeling offended. The Lord spoke to me through a dream and gave me insight into how this offense effected us. I immediately woke with not just an interpretation, but a quickening within my spirit to repent (change the way I thought) and release forgiveness. I have shared this story with many others because of the deep impact it had on my revelation on forgiveness from the heart.
“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” Matthew 18:35
